The former hacienda la Tenería has been converted into a huge public park, the Tangamanga Park, which covers an area of about 411 hectares. There are grills available for the public to use for barbecues. Inside, you will find several recreational facilities including a planetarium that offers stargazing evenings, the Maze Museum of Science and Arts and the City Theatre. Do not confuse it with the Parque Tangamanga II (this one being, in contrast, the Parque Tangamanga I), in the north of the city.
