CENTENARIAN ART CENTRE
Address in a former prison hosting temporary exhibitions, a space dedicated to the work of Leonora Carrington
Formerly a prison built between 1904 and 1999 according to the panoptic principle (star-shaped, so that the whole can be watched from the center), it has been refurbished to accommodate much of the city's art education (literature, painting, sculpture...). Temporary exhibitions and meetings are organized here. A space dedicated to the work of Leonora Carrington, an English-born Mexican artist who was one of the leading figures of the Surrealist movement.
