ALAMEDA
At one end of the calle Victoria, at the foot of the hill from the Plaza de Armas, extends the Alameda, the main park in the city. On the one hand, there is a fountain in the form of Mexico and on the other, a playground is open to children; in the middle stands a music booth for Sunday concerts. But the park's main attraction is the labyrinth of its sinuous alleys where young couples wander, stop and exchange affection marks. Two hours before sunset, trees become the refuge of countless birds whose cries fill the park, bringing a tropical atmosphere to a relatively temperate city.
