At the far end of the Ban Café is a small ceramics store. It's run by the Senegalese ceramics collective Ban, which means clay in Wolof, and includes Aïcha's sister, Imann Gaye. The collective's aim is to preserve this traditional know-how, while reinterpreting modes of transmission and production through the use of various technologies. Playful workshops introduce you to the potter's wheel, hand shaping and glazing. You'll leave with your own beautiful creation.
