This is now a very sad place. Great location and wonderful Olympic size swimming pool but it has basically been left to rot. The rooms are shoddy and the communal areas filthy.
It’s a sort of metaphor for Dakar, unfortunately.
I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

This establishment used to be one of the best in the whole of West Africa, today it is in very serious need of a thorough "overhaul", major capital expenditure needs to be made to totally remodel the whole property. It's location is second to none, it just needs an upgrade.

Un lugar tranquilo. Aunque está en la ciudad de Dakar está alejado del ruido de la ciudad. Con una amplia piscina , frente al mar . No hay playa en este hotel.

The room was filthy. Bad smells, stained carpet with finger nails, bad water pressure. The sheets were clean, the room door was very hard to lock. The breakfast was mediocre and there was the biggest rat I've ever seen. Never will I ever stay here again.

So ein heruntergekommenes Hotel habe ich noch nicht erlebt! Toilette funktionierte nicht ! Frühstücksbuffet war schlicht um nicht zu sagen ein Witz ! Zimmer mit Meerblick, der Beton von der Terrasse bröckelte überall ab . Die Küche war mehr ein Imbiss. Die Rezeption hat sich nichts angenommen! Traurig! ????

Zero water pressure. Cold water. Dark, rusty bathroom. The worst shower of my life. I cancelled my 5-day reservation after they were unable to fix the shower the first night (and couldn’t seem to find a better shower to offer.) The entire hotel is old and poorly lit. The carpeting in the corridors and bedroom was old and dirty. I would not recommend staying here. There are other similarly priced hotels in the center of Dakar with much better facilities.

A comfortable hotel with a huge swimming pool and in a lovely location. The food there was extremely good and portions very generous.

The view over the ocean and a large pool are great. But that's about it. Best years are decades ago and not much has changed or been refreshed. Dirty carpets, darks rooms, but the worst was the bathroom and shower- not only no hot water, but even the cold one hardly dripping. Shower head also broken and rust on the side. Staff didn't seem to be very surprised when we said this was the reason why we decided to change hotels after first night. No thanks.

Que dire …

La localisation est extraordinaire. La vue aussi. Un énorme potentiel; mais un hôtel en fin de vie, bloqué dans les années 80.

Que dirais je de ce endroit ?
Un hôtel bien construit et bien pensé, un peu négligé mais sinon pas mal, bien situé et accessible, face à la mer. Il y avait un problème de wifi et d'eau chaude .
Sinon une très belle expérience.

Honestly the place is horrible there were rats everywhere and the were so big and when we asked them to kill them they did now allow it it had also super slow wifi you couldn’t call with the telephone that was in the hotel and I had my A.C on for 6 ours and I was still sweating

Des cafards dans les chambres, des moquettes insalubres, des boiseries en fin de vie, des plafonds de douche avec moisissure , nappes de tables usées et sales et j’en passe. Il y aurait trop à dire.
Je ne leur laisse pas 5 ans s’ils ne se remettent pas en question.
Hôtel en fin de vie.
Tout est à revoir. Un audit s’impose !

Certaines parties en besoin de rénovation, mais l'accueil est très bon, et Souleiman au bar à bien compris les besoins du voyageur fatigué (et affamé). Même hors des horaires il a organisé à manger devant la mer ????. La cuisine est très bonne.

Ideal for outdoor lovers: An Olympic swimming pool, a Tennis court and a private beach. The garden is also very beautiful and green. It's a pleasure to wake up to the sounds of birds. The staff is extra friendly and helpful.

It's an old building, rooms are not clean. You get the odour of moisture. If you're looking for a modern, clean and luxurious room I don't think this is a good alternative.
It's easy to find cockroaches or rats in the bath☹️
