THE ARTS VILLAGE
A space for creation, production, distribution, research, animation, promotion and exchange, the Arts Village deserves a little time to think about it! Placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture and Communication, it consists of a 300 m² exhibition gallery, a library, a pleasant cafeteria, a bronze foundry and a set of workshops for resident or visiting artists. Painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, video, installation... Numerous disciplines of visual arts are presented, spread over an area of 4 hectares, in 52 workshops. In terms of contemporary creation, the space is unmissable, and is frequented by gallery owners, museum curators, men of culture and public figures, among others! The resident artists of the village are involved throughout the year in multiple workshops, residencies, conferences and international meetings. They come and go, contributing to the influence of the village both nationally and internationally. Far from the tourist attraction stands, we are there facing a real artistic hive. There are also concerts, cultural evenings and traditional evenings in the cafeteria, as well as themed conferences and film screenings followed by debates in an underground setting that we've enjoyed immensely! In addition, every year the Arts Village receives and supervises young self-taught artists or graduates of the National School of Arts: the next generation is assured!
