By pirogue or on foot over the bridge, you can easily reach this small island, planted with baobab trees and made up of a heap of shells, which is home to the country's only mixed cemetery, a true symbol of peace and brotherhood between the two religions. A peaceful atmosphere reigns here, conducive to meditation. In the foreground, the graves of Catholics with their crosses. In the background, the mausoleums and graves of the Muslims. From the top of the hill, there's a breathtaking view of Fadiouth and the lagoon.

agréable visite
Joal Fadiouth, l’île aux coquillages et son cimetière mixte, est une visite incontournable quand on est dans la région de Saly. Nous avons passé une très belle matinée et adoré cet endroit.
Offers moving with all these tombres on one floor shell but Fadiouth is too tourist
