Sacrifices, dances, struggles and prayers, the end of the harvest is synonymous with joy, peace and good humour among the Diolas!
La Humeubeul, the "King's Day" celebrates the end of the harvest over three days in early autumn, to start a new agricultural year under the best auspices. The wise men then decide on the sacrifices, and the traditional rite of peace and communion is launched, during which dances, prayers and drums are organized. It is also an opportunity to admire traditional wrestling matches with wrestlers from all over the Kassa country. The toubabs can attend: we warmly recommend it!
