Every year since 1994, the village of Abéné has celebrated the New Year with a lively and colorful festival. People come from all over the world, from Senegal to Gambia, from Europe to America, to enjoy a program rich in music, dance, song and theater. For ten days, several ethnic groups take turns with equally astonishing performances, offering a pleasant glimpse of African cultures. A wonderful event to mark the festive season with joy, good humor and the discovery of African arts!

Every winter since 1994 festival Abene wakes up the villagers their torpor sunny thanks to a rich program of music, dancing, singing and theatres African. The public comes from everywhere: region Senegal- Gambia, Guinea and Europe, Australia and America. It is an unforgettable experience to see the villagers, but especially women and children jump on stage to dodge dance in order to honour the artist who produced here!

this festival is a real exchange culture whose villagers are very proud and the region with the outside world by what it has to offer: varied music, a rich artistic culture, in a natural setting mixing green landscapes and beaches without end.
