On the initiative of the Saint-Louisian artist Zoumba, the association les Cocons (Companion Storytellers of Northern Senegal) is organizing for the International Day of Storytelling and Francophonie, speaking workshops in schools and centres for underprivileged children, guided tours of the Saint-Louisian heritage, a traditional cultural evening in the company of storytellers and writers, among other activities related to storytelling and the French language. Ask about the program at the Tourist Office if you are in Saint-Louis on that date!
