Charming, affordable hotels are hard to find in Jerusalem. Hotels are divided between youth hostels and hospices that are cheap and not necessarily very comfortable in the Old City, and luxury hotels that have sprung up like mushrooms in recent years in the New City. Today, the mid-range can be found on Airbnb: aparthotels without reception or catering services, managed by agencies that sometimes cumulate entire buildings. This has become the best option in terms of value for money.
