The Jerusalem Trail is a 42 km hike around and through Jerusalem. Although the trail is marked, it is only irregularly and it is difficult to follow it without a topographic map or GPS. For example, from Lifta to Mount Scopus, the trail is not marked at all. Its extreme point is located northeast of the Old City near the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Two days of hiking are required to complete the entire trail. It can be reached or left at many places close to bus stops.
