HEICHAL SHLOMO COMPLEX & WOLFSON MUSEUM OF JEWISH ART
The Heichal Shlomo («Solomon remains») complex was built in 1958. It hosts the headquarters of the Grand Rabbanut of Israel, a small synagogue (Renim Synagogue) and the Wolfson Museum. It is located in the great synagogue of Jerusalem. With a collection of over 5 000 objects linked to the Jewish cult, the Wolsfon Museum is one of the hidden treasures of Jerusalem. You will discover beautiful and precious antiques, but also many contemporary objects and works of art. Temporary exhibitions are regularly organized there. The Renim Synagogue houses a Aron Kodesh (Holy Ark) and a bimah (estrade's dome or lit), manufactured in the early th century for the Ralchal's Synagogue of Padua (Italy) and brought here at the end of the Second World War.
