The Tomb of the Kings, Jerusalem's largest hypogeum, is a complex of rock-cut tombs dating from the Second Temple period. The site was the final resting place of the family of Queen Helen of Adiabene (Heleni HaMalka). Converted to Judaism in the middle of the 1st century AD, the queen and part of her royal family moved to Jerusalem and had a palace built to the south of the city. The site is administered by the French Consulate General in Jerusalem, and reservations are required to visit.
