The Austrian Hospice is a true haven of peace, with its hanging gardens overlooking el-Wad Street. It's also a little piece of Austria in the heart of Jerusalem! In the magnificent vaulted café or at one of the garden tables, you can enjoy delicious apfelstrudel or sachertorte with whipped cream. This is the only place where you can drink beer (and therefore alcohol) in the Muslim quarter of the Old Town. We love the timeless Viennese café atmosphere. Don't miss the chance to climb up to the rooftops for a view (fee).
