The Church of Our Lady of the Ark of the Covenant is located on the highest point of the village, facing the impressive landscape of the Jerusalem hills. It was built in 1924 on the remains of an ancient Byzantine church dating from the 4th and5th centuries. In 2024, it will celebrate its centenary: for the occasion, the church is getting a makeover. It is currently closed for renovation, but is due to reopen on August 31, 2024, the anniversary of its consecration.
