The port of Jaffa is one of the oldest in the Mediterranean. It was destroyed by Napoleon's army in 1799, then rebuilt by the Ottomans. Under British rule, it became the port of entry for waves of Jewish immigrants, before the new port of Tel Aviv was built further north. Since then, the importance of the port of Jaffa has diminished considerably, but you can still stroll between the fishermen's boats and the sheds converted into restaurants, trendy boutiques and art galleries. It's a particularly pleasant walk.

Quiet and quiet place with many restaurants. We can go quietly in the middle of fishing boats and fishermen.
