This small area west of Neve Sha'anan, south of Tel Aviv, is one of Israel's hottest fashion spots. Just ten years ago, it was one of the most dangerous and impoverished areas in Tel Aviv. Once a red-light district, Gan Ha'Hashmal, literally the "electric garden", is now overrun by young designers and trendy cafés. But it has definitely kept its alternative soul.
