Founded in 1991 by Russian artists who had immigrated to Israel, the Gesher was originally dedicated to the theater of the absurd, which is very present in Jewish and Russian culture. Today, it is considered one of the best theaters in the country. You'll see performances in Russian or Hebrew, some with English surtitles - an experience not to be missed. "Gesher" means "bridge" in Hebrew. This theater, also known as the Noga Theater, is the heart of the neighborhood of the same name. Its beautiful amphitheatre seats 850 spectators.
