In a few years, Tel Aviv has become one of the most tolerant cities in the world. The Pride March is actually the highlight of Pride Month, which takes place every year in June and attracts hundreds of thousands of Israelis and foreign visitors. More than 100,000 people attend the colourful parade which moves along the seafront. It is one of the main events in the LGBTQ calendar in the Middle East and around the world. Since 2008, an international LGBT film festival has also been held in Tel Aviv.
