Sarah Peguine was born in Marseille, before moving to Tel Aviv as a child, where she is now recognized as one of Israel's leading specialists in contemporary art. After co-directing one of the leading galleries on the Tel Aviv contemporary art scene, she founded ArtSource.Online and Oh so Arty to develop links between artists, gallerists, art lovers and collectors. With an online magazine, a podcast, artistic collaborations in hotels across the city and an unwavering enthusiasm for spreading the word about the local contemporary art world, Sarah Peguine is an unrivalled conduit. The tours she organizes and leads, in French or English, for groups or individuals, open a precious window on a teeming and diverse scene. The tours are less often concentrated around Rothschild Boulevard, an area historically favored by gallerists, and offer a glimpse into neighborhoods with an emerging or long-established scene, notably in Jaffa. The Chelouche gallery, the private museum and art bookshop Magazine III and the Har-El gallery and art print shop are all located in this rapidly gentrifying district. Sarah is an art curator with a sharp, knowledgeable eye, who knows how to take a back seat to gallery owners and artists with grace and respect, without misplaced snobbery.
