ETZEL MUSEUM
The Etzel Museum consists of two buildings. The first one in town is the main one. It tells the story of the formation of Etzel, one of the three armed groups that fought for the independence of the Jewish state in the 1940s. On the waterfront in the Charles-Clore Park is the second wing which traces the underground activities of the Etzel. The building that seems to rise out of the stones was built on the ruins of a building in Menashia, the former Arab quarter that stood there before being razed to the ground during the War of Independence in 1948.
