David Ben Gurion was the first Prime Minister of the State of Israel and the one who declared the independence of the Jewish State in 1948. He lived in this house with his wife Paula for more than twenty years before moving to Sdé Boker in the Negev desert in 1953. One is struck by the simplicity of the place, the decoration and the abundance of books, more than 20,000, in fields as varied as geography, political science and religion. You will discover many objects that belonged to him as well as photos.
