In 1891, twenty-year-old Polish Jewess Hélèna Rubinstein emigrated to Australia, where she began manufacturing cosmetics. By the turn of the century, she was at the head of a financial empire, investing part of her fortune in patronage and art collecting. The pavilion that originally bore her name is an annex of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. It was completely renovated - and renamed - in 2023. It hosts excellent temporary exhibitions of modern and contemporary art. It is located just north of the Tel Aviv Opera House.
