HATACHANA
This former train station, which operated the line between Jerusalem and Jaffa from 1892 to 1948, was bought by the town council in 2005. At the time, it was derelict and the city decided to give it a second life. The buildings have been renovated and are now home to trendy stores, cafés and restaurants. There are several buildings of particular interest: the former railway station, whose architecture is influenced by the 19th-century European Templar style, as is the Villa, and the Wieland family home right next door to the factory of the same name.
