This pretty white square, nestled behind noisy Allenby, is a haven of peace with its water-lily-covered fountain. Today, it seems tiny and coquettish. In the 1920s, it was one of the city's most important squares, which gives us an idea of the size of Tel Aviv in those days! At no. 27 (the former city hall), it houses the city's museum (Beit Ha'ir), the house of the poet Bialik at no. 22, that of the painter Rubin at no. 14, and the small Bauhaus museum at no. 21.
