Drijat, 18 km west of Arad, is a Negev Arab village of around 600 inhabitants that promises an authentic experience. You'll have to find it after a few kilometers on a dirt road (car required). In Drijat (or Durayjat), you'll find the Abu Hamad family offering visitors a simple, delicious home-cooked meal. Arabic coffee, anecdotes and village excursions included: father Jaber Abu Hamad welcomes his guests in cool, ancient caves. Overnight stays in tents are also available.
