BEN GURION DESERT HOME - BEN GURION'S HUT
The site is dedicated to Ben Gurion and his wife Paula who lived here from 1953 to the end of their days (1968 for Paula, 1973 for David Ben Gurion). It was partially redesigned and modernized in 2015. Once the centre of reception is close to the parking lot, a park is planted with a number of kiosks where a short animated film is projected in Ben Gurion's life. After the passage of the funds, the site allows to visit several places where the last remains of Ben Gurion, astonishing of modesty. It's called the Hut. According to the last wishes of the "Old", the Hut stayed exactly as he left it to his death. You can see personal objects, books, photos and correspondence. The most impressive place is probably the study room with its library and 5 000 volumes dealing with different languages in different subjects. Ben Gurion had special interest in the Bible and all subjects related to it. Quotes from the Bible written by her hand are recorded and displayed on his office.
The tombs of Ben Gurion and Paula are not in kibbutz but next to the university (Midreshet Ben Gurion) and the Tzin Canyon, in Ben Gurion's Tomb National Park.
