HECHT MUSEUM
Located on the university campus in the southeast of the city, this museum boasts a fine collection of archaeological artefacts unearthed in the region. Don't miss the 14 m-long hull of a Greek ship dating from the5th century BC, discovered on the coast of Maagan Michael in 1984: it is surprisingly well preserved. On the upper floor, the museum also houses a collection of Impressionist paintings. On display are paintings by Monet, Manet, Pissarro, Modigliani, Van Gogh... Guided tours are offered free of charge in English.
