The Haifa City Museum was inaugurated in November 2000. It is located in the former buildings of the Knights Templar Community Centre, which also served as a school, in the heart of the beautiful German colony. The building built in 1869 was the first to be erected by the Knights Templar on the land of Israel. There are temporary exhibitions devoted to the history of Haifa, on the themes of architecture, urban planning, art and culture.
