ELMA ARTS COMPLEX
A hillside hotel with a beautiful view, featuring completely reinvented rooms and an auditorium.
This former nursing home was designed by architect Yaakov Rechter, winner of the 1972 Israel Prize. Built into the hillside with an extraordinary view, it was destined for destruction until Lily Elstein decided otherwise. An art enthusiast, she restored it as an art center and hotel. The 40 rooms have been completely reinvented. The immense auditorium houses one of the world's largest organs and incredible acoustics. The whole has been furnished with works of art from Mrs. Elstein's private collection. A magical place.
