This remarkable museum opened in 2016 in a building adjacent to the Birzeit University campus. The modern architecture of the museum's 3,500 m² is the work of Dublin-based architects Heneghan Peng. The clean, contemporary design blends seamlessly into the landscape, echoing the earthworks and hills of Birzeit and the surrounding area. The complex is surrounded by a pleasant garden planted with local species. The museum is dedicated to the history and culture of the Palestinian people, beyond the tragedy of the Naqba.
