TEL EN-NASBEH
The archaeological site of Tel en-Nasbeh is believed to be the site of the biblical city of Mizpah, where King Saul was crowned. It is located on a hill on the edge of Ramallah Road. The fortified city flourished from 1000 to 586 BC. Numerous remains were removed during successive excavations carried out between 1926 and 1935, during the British Mandate, by the American archaeologist William F. Badè, most of which are on display at the Rockefeller Museum in Jerusalem, while others are at the Badè Museum in Berkeley, California.
