BASILICA OF THE ANNUNCIATION

It was in Nazareth that the Virgin Mary received from Angel Gabriel the proclamation of the imminent birth of Christ. The Basilica, which was completed in 1969, is one of the highest places in Christianity and the largest Christian Christian churches in the Middle East. It was built on the site of older churches, themselves built, from the fourth century, on a cave identified like that of the Annonunciation. The site allowed important archeological excavations, the results of which were exhibited in the Archeological Museum. Inside the Basilica, you can see mosaics on the theme of the Annonunciation from all over the world.
