CHURCH OF THE MULTIPLICATION (ÉGLISE DE LA MULTIPLICATION)

The present Basilica, whose full name is Church of the multiplication of breads and fish, dates back to 1982 and was built on vestiges of which the oldest dates back to 350 ha. It houses a beautiful 5 000 th century mosaic and the sacred stone where Jesus would have planted the five loaves and the two fish for breeding and feeding people. The foundations of the original th century church are visible through a glass window. The site is administered by the Benedictine monks. It was severely damaged by Jewish extremists in April 2014 and June 2015.
