COFFEE ANNAN
This place can boast of being the highest café in Israel. Mount Bental rises to an altitude of 1,165 metres, and this café-pizzeria has set up shop on its summit. The name of the establishment is a play on words from the name of the former Secretary General of the United Nations from 1997 to 2006, Kofi Annan, and the word annan, which means "cloud" in Hebrew. A lovely place to enjoy a coffee or a snack with a magnificent view of the mountains of southern Lebanon, the Golan Heights and Syria. And to meditate on these territories still disputed, at war, or both.
