Stéphane Diaz, who was the chef at the French Embassy and has worked for several restaurants since he arrived more than 15 years ago, decided to indulge himself by opening his own resto, an improved fonda. He offers daily menus, with an unbeatable quality-price ratio, in a relaxed setting. The menu changes according to the market and the chef's desires. The fonda is located in front of the Panamá-Colón railroad, not far from the Albrook terminal. The room is warm, unpretentious and decorated with some antiques.

Le restaurant du chef
Il s'appelle La Kafet, et le chef c'est Stéphane. Ex chef de l'ambassade, c'est quand même une référence ! Sympathique, il a créé ce restaurant qui ne paye pas de mine, dans un quartier extérieure du centre qui s'appelle "Diablo", derrière la voie ferrée et sur la route des écluses de Miraflores. C'est un restaurant de style local. Plus qu'une carte, Il propose plutôt des menus du jour, selon ce qu'il trouve sur le marché, donc des produits garantis frais, pas du congelé. Prix abordables. Bonne nourriture.
