CENTRAL HOTEL PANAMÁ
After years of renovation, the legendary Hotel Central was revived in 2016. In Cathedral Square, it is the largest and most prestigious establishment in Casco Viejo. It dates back to 1874 and hosted Ferdinand de Lesseps and the French engineers who initiated the construction of the canal between 1880 and 1889. Theodore Roosevelt and Fidel Castro also stayed there. Abandoned and then squatted until the 2000s, it has regained its former glory. Architecture, comfortable rooms, spa, bar-lounge and small pool on the rooftop... Superb charming address.
