This small soccer stadium was inaugurated in 2014 on Cinta Costera III, in the bordering part of Chorrillo. It replaced an old stadium that the residents of the neighborhood had named after the legendary stadium of Río de Janeiro. With a capacity of 5,000 spectators, it is the home of the capital's soccer club C.D. Plaza Amador, also known as Los Leones, La Plaza or El Equipo del Pueblo (The Lions, La Plaza or The People's Team respectively). Founded in 1955, it is one of the oldest teams in the country.
