REAL CASES
The royal houses constituted the real center of power of the city, since they concentrated all the dependences of the royal government: the officines, the prison, the residence of the governor... This complex, built during the 16th century, was separated and protected from the rest of the city by a moat and palisades. The houses were located in one of the most salubrious areas, on a rocky ground, and in a strategic location slightly overhanging the city and the sea. It is probable that the project was to build a tower there.
