The King's Bridge is a great architectural work of masonry from the colonial period, built between 1619 and 1634. Some historians mention that there must have been a wooden bridge before, whose construction was supervised by an expert from Cartagena. The bridge, which ran north-south, provided access to the city and connected with the Camino Real over the Gallinero River (now the Abajo River). During the visit, the bridge is easy to spot because of its conservation and maintenance.
