José González makes masks of diablicos for the Corpus Christi festival in Los Santos. Dressed in a red and black costume, they fight the Spanish invader during very codified dances. Around the festival, figurines are made to make fun of public figures. José will explain in Spanish the process of making them out of paper mache. The dancers look through the devil's mouth. There are only a handful of artisans specializing in this type of mask in the region. Some of the works are really impressive!
