A state-owned bus company, PTSC was created in 1965 when Trinidad's rail network, which was heavily in debt and losing money, disappeared. A study commission was set up by the young government of the newly independent country. It concluded that a bus service would be more cost-effective. Today, it's a good-quality, low-cost network with well-maintained vehicles. The website contains all the timetables.
