The Red House, the House of Parliament, is a massive building with ochre colored facades and a green-grey copper dome. The Parliament House was stormed twice in its history, in 1903, during the water riots, and in 1990, during the attempted takeover by Abu Bakr. It was destroyed by the 1903 floods and completely rebuilt 4 years later. It is not possible to visit it but it is worth a visit during a walk in downtown.
