Hayes Court is characterized by its architecture which is a blend of Scottish and French influences. A beautiful veranda surrounds the building on three of its sides. Its columns and decorations are made of cast iron, typical of the Scottish style. Inside, the floors are made of imported marble, ceramic and local terracotta tiles. It was the home of the Anglican Archbishop of Trinidad and as it is still used as a residence, it is one of the few buildings from that era that are still in excellent condition.
