GIANT STATUE OF HANUMAN

The world's second largest statue of Hanuman, a Hindu god, is located here in the small village of Carapichaima, in the heart of a Hindu temple, a stone's throw from Waterloo. This amazing ochre-colored statue, 25 meters high, stands proudly above the Dattatreya Yoga Center and the nearby mandir. Hanuman was considered the greatest of warriors and is one of Rama's most revered disciples. The yoga center and the mandir were built by Indian workers contracted for this purpose, in the purest Dravidian style.
