PIPARO MUD VOLCANO

The Piparo mud volcano, also known as Morne roche, is quite imposing but it is a dormant site, which occasionally sends spurts of mud flying through the air. The largest recent eruption took place in February 1997 and dislodged 31 families who lived in the 2.5 ^km2 that were covered with mud.
