DEVIL'S WOODYARD MUD VOLCANO

It is probably the best known of mud volcanoes in Trinidad, of an intermediate mid-dry mid-wet type. It is an active volcano whose surface is warm (touch it to see), which bouillonnne the mud that cools along a cone, most of the time (great chance to see it in action). In 1852, he experienced a violent eruption that won the Devil's Party surmon by Europeans, because the surface noise is similar to that of the devil who piles wood. The Amerindians also consider this spot sacred.
