An annual goat race since 1925, not to be missed if you're in Tobago for Easter Tuesday.
In the small village of Buccoo a famous goat race takes place every year. It is a much awaited event: in a carnival atmosphere, the goats, trained for months for the occasion, and their master form tandems that compete in the race. The jockeys run behind their beasts, which they hold on a leash and encourage by alternating soft words, imprecations and strokes of the stick, striving to make them run straight, which in the end represents the main difficulty of the event.
