This diving club has been in operation since 1993 and offers the services of a German and two Maldivian PADI trained instructors. Its clientele is made up of expatriates and tourists who stay in guesthouses in Malé (the club is happy to book accommodation), which is more economical than island hotels. Most of the dives are done within a one hour dhoni ride around Malé, but Sea Explorer also organizes dive safaris on request. The school can accommodate up to twenty divers with equipment.
